Manage complexity with AMPL
Product line theory speaks of reusing assets, not components. Aside from components, assets also encompass requirements, architectures, designs and test suites. Concrete, industrially-practicable examples of how to use these assets to develop products are scarce.

ConIPF defines the Asset Model for Product Lines (AMPL), a framework of knowledge that can be used to derive and fine-tune products, and shows how to use it. The derivation of intermediate products, such as specifications and test suites, is also foreseen.

ConIPF has been validated in industrially-realistic environments and uses commercial tools.
